2 Terrorists Killed In Udhampur Encounter, Search Operation Continues
Udhampur, Sep 17: Two terrorists have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Maljata area of Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Thursday.
Officials told that arms and ammunition have been recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists, whose identity is yet to be ascertained.
Search operation by joint team of police and armys Para (Special Forces) is still underway in the area to rule out presence of any more terrorists, they said.
The encounter broke out after gunshots were heard in Maljata area late Wednesday evening.

Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a massive search operation based on specific input about the presence of terrorists.
Additional reinforcements have been rushed to the area and combing operation has been intensified, officials said, adding further details are awaited.(GNS)
