CRPF Head Constable Dies After Falling Unconscious at DPL Handwara

A CRPF Head Constable posted lost his life after suddenly falling unconscious during the night at District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara, officials said on Monday.

Officials told news agency that the deceased has been identified as Shiv Kumar, son of Shri K. Vijay Sundaram, a resident of Ramambal village, Tamil Nadu, who was serving with, 92 Battalion CRPF.

They said Shiv Kumar suddenly became unconscious during the night hours at DPL Handwara and was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara for treatment.

However, doctors at GMC Handwara declared him brought dead, officials said.

The body has been kept in the mortuary of GMC Handwara for medico-legal formalities, while police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings. (JKNS)
