Jammu Srinagar National Highway Update for 06 Nov 2025

🛣️ NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar Highway)

Slow movement expected due to the breakdown of HMVs and nomadic flocks between Ramban and Kishtwari Pathar.

Passengers/LWMs advised to travel during daytime and avoid night hours due to ongoing work and nomad movement.

Goods carriers (HMV/LMV) carrying perishables should load as per advisories.

Commuters should drive carefully and avoid NH-44 if unnecessary.

🚗 Traffic Movement:

LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) allowed both ways via NH-44 — Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa.

HMVs (Heavy Vehicles) allowed only from Jammu to Srinagar side after assessing road condition.

No HMVs allowed from Srinagar to Jammu.

🚛 Convoy Movements:

SF Convoy: May move between Dhar and Banihal/Navyug Tunnel after confirming from concerned authorities.

Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag road: Closed due to snow.

🏔️ SSG Road (Sonamarg–Gumri–Kargil)

LMVs allowed from Minamarg to Sonamarg at 0500–1030 hrs.

LMVs allowed from Sonamarg to Kargil at 1130–1730 hrs.

No vehicle allowed after cut-off timings.

🛻 Mughal Road (Poonch–Shopian)

LMVs allowed from Poonch to Srinagar at 0600–1800 hrs.

No HMVs allowed due to slippery road conditions.
