📍 Traffic Situation (18–19 Jan 2026)
Slow movement on NH-44 due to:
Single-lane traffic at Ballinala, Dewal, Nashri-Dalwas
Stretch between Marog and Kishtwari Pather
Breakdown of 2 heavy vehicles (HMVs)
🚗 Passenger & LMV Advisory
Prefer travel on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44 during daytime
Avoid night travel due to:
Shooting stones / landslides
Ongoing construction between Ramban–Banihal
Follow lane discipline
❌ Overtaking & wrong-lane driving will cause congestion
🛣️ NH-44 Status
Subject to fair weather & road conditions:
LMVs, Passenger vehicles, Private cars & HMVs (Goods carriers) allowed both ways
Movement to be coordinated by TCU Ramban
🚓 Security Forces (SFs) Convoy
Allowed both directions on NH-44
Movement only after confirmation from TCU Ramban
❄️ Road Closures
Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag (NH-244):

Mughal Road:

Traffic allowed after green signal from BRO
Kargil → Srinagar
LMVs first, HMVs (up to 06 tyres) later

SF convoys must move without disturbing civil traffic
🚧 Mughal Road (Special Window)
If cleared by GREF, LMVs with anti-skid chains allowed:
Chandimarh (Bafliaz) → Shopian → Herpora → Poonch
Timing: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
