🚓 TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS J&K (Jammu / Srinagar)
Traffic Plan & Advisory – 01 April 2026
🚧 Road Condition
From 30 March 2026 (4:00 PM) to 31 March 2026 (4:00 PM), slow movement on NH-44.
Reasons:
Single-lane traffic between Marog and Kishtwari Pather
Breakdown of 4 heavy motor vehicles (HMVs)
❗ Special Update
Jammu–Srinagar NHW (NH-44) was blocked for 7 hours due to:
Landslides
Shooting stones (Ramban–Banihal stretch)
Now traffic restored, but:
Avoid travel during night hours
Risk of falling stones still present

Follow lane discipline
No overtaking
Avoid wrong-lane driving
🛣️ NH-44 (National Highway)
If weather is good:
LMVs, passenger vehicles, HPVs, private cars, and HMVs (goods carriers) allowed
Movement allowed both sides (Jammu ↔ Srinagar)
Coordinated with TCU Ramban

Allowed from both sides
Only after confirmation from TCU Ramban
❄️ Other Roads Status
1. Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag (NH-244)
Temporarily CLOSED due to snow
2. SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri / Zojila Axis)
No movement today (Srinagar → Kargil)
Tomorrow (02 April 2026):
LMVs followed by HMVs (up to 6 tyres) allowed
Route: Srinagar → Kargil
Due to:
Avalanche risk
Slippery road conditions
Cut-off time: 1:30 PM
Vehicles must carry anti-skid chains
3. Mughal Road
If weather permits:
LMVs & passenger cars allowed from both sides
Route: Jammu ↔ Srinagar via Poonch (Chandimarg, Behramgala, Herpora)
Timing:
11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Shopian → Poonch)
No movement after cut-off time
