From 27 March 2026 (4:00 PM) to 28 March 2026 (4:00 PM), slow traffic movement on NH-44.
Reasons:
Single-lane traffic between Marog and Kishtwari Pather
Breakdown of 3 heavy motor vehicles (HMVs)

People are advised to:

1. Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag (NH-244)
Temporarily CLOSED due to snow accumulation
2. SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri / Zojila Axis)
If weather permits:
LMVs with anti-skid chains allowed
Movement: Minamarg → Srinagar
Cut-off time: 1:30 PM
Due to avalanche risk
3. Mughal Road
If weather permits:
LMVs & passenger/private cars allowed
Route: Jammu → Srinagar → Poonch (via Chandimarg, Behramgala, Herpora)
Timing:
11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Shopian → Poonch)
No movement after cut-off time
