🚗 NH-44 Traffic Update

From 31-12-2025 (1600 hrs) to 01-01-2026 (1600 hrs), slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to:

Single-lane traffic at Banihal, Dewal, Nashri-Dalwas

Stretches between Marog and Kishtwari Pather

Breakdown of 02 HMV vehicles on NH-44

🚙 Passenger / LMV Advisory

Passenger vehicles and LMVs are advised to travel during daytime on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44.

Night travel should be avoided, as HMV movement through Nashri Tunnel and Navyug Tunnel may cause inconvenience.

Commuters must strictly follow lane discipline.
❌ Overtaking and wrong-lane driving will lead to congestion.

➤ Allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44
➤ Movement subject to clearance by TCU Jammu / Srinagar, in coordination with TCU Ramban

🚓 Security Forces Convoy (SFs)

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, SF vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on NH-44.

Movement only after confirmation of NH-44 status from TCU Ramban.

❄️ Road Closures Due to Snow Accumulation

Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag (NH-244)

❌ Closed for vehicular movement due to fresh snow accumulation.

❌ Srinagar – Sonamarg – Gummari Road closed due to fresh snow accumulation.
