J&K police ASI found dead in Srinagar’s Ahmad Nagar
The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, they said.
An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Ahmad Nagar area of Srinagar, reports said.
Quoting police sources news agency reported that an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), presently posted at the Ahmad Nagar police station was found unconscious in his room yesterday late night.
They added that the officer was immediately shifted to the hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Later, he was identified as Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Yaripora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam.
The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, they said.
