Traffic SPO knocked to death by Police bus
In a tragic incident, a Traffic Police SPO was knocked to death by a Police Department bus near Garnai Traffic Naka.
The deceased was identified as SPO (No. 596). Satvir Singh, son of Uttam Singh, resident of Majalta. He was performing traffic duty at Garnai Traffic Naka point on the National Highway when a Police Department bus, bearing registration number JK02AG-4763 and on way from Jammu towards Srinagar, hit him.
Rehambal Police rushed to the spot and took the injured SPO to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Police detained driver of the bus, identified as Head Constable Fazal Hussain. A case FIR No. 07/2025, under section 281/125(a) BNS has been registered in this connection at Police Station Rehambal.
