1. India–Japan Annual Summit Held in New Delhi
The 16th India–Japan Annual Summit was held in New Delhi.
India and Japan signed their first-ever Defence Co-Development Agreement to strengthen strategic and defence cooperation.
The leaders also discussed Indo-Pacific security, economic cooperation, clean energy, and technology partnerships.
2. PM Narendra Modi to Visit Indonesia, Australia & New Zealand
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a three-nation tour next week.
He will visit Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand to enhance diplomatic, trade, and strategic relations.
The visit to New Zealand will be the first by an Indian Prime Minister in around 40 years.
3. India’s First Private PinS Instrument Approach Approved
The DGCA approved India’s first Private Point-in-Space (PinS) Instrument Approach Procedure.
It has been approved for Undavalli Heliport, Andhra Pradesh.
The system enables safer helicopter operations in poor weather using satellite-based navigation.
4. Cabinet Approves Highway Projects Worth ₹14,114.81 Crore
The Union Cabinet approved two major national highway projects worth ₹14,114.81 crore.
The projects aim to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and strengthen strategic infrastructure.
5. Bank of Baroda Signs MoU with Japan’s Mizuho Bank
Bank of Baroda partnered with Mizuho Bank of Japan.
The collaboration focuses on mergers & acquisitions financing and cross-border banking services.
6. I-2SEA Submarine Cable System Announced
The India-to-Southeast Asia (I-2SEA) submarine cable system was unveiled.
It will connect India, Singapore, and Malaysia with high-capacity digital infrastructure.
Partners include Microsoft, Tata Communications, Singtel, and Lightstorm Networks.
