The Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Kashmir, has invited eligible candidates to appear for a Walk-in Interview for engagement as Assistant Professor (Contractual) on an academic arrangement basis in the Design Innovation Centre.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess:
Bachelor’s Degree or minimum four-year Diploma in any of the following:
Design
Fine Arts
Applied Arts
Architecture
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with First Class or equivalent.
And
Master’s Degree or equivalent Postgraduate Diploma with First Class or equivalent in any of the following disciplines:
Industrial Design
Visual Communication
Fine Arts
Applied Arts
Architecture
Interaction Design
New Media Studies
Design Management
Ergonomics
Human Factors Engineering
Indian Craft Studies
Related fields of Engineering or Design
Salary
₹45,000 per month (excluding B.Arch.)
₹50,000 per month (for B.Arch./M.Arch. candidates)
Tenure
The engagement will initially be for the year 2026, ending on 31 December 2026, or until the post is filled on a substantive basis, whichever is earlier.
Leave
Leaves and vacations will be governed as per the University norms applicable to such contractual engagements.
Selection Process
Selection will be based solely on the candidate’s performance in the Interview.

Applications will be scrutinized on the spot. Only candidates found eligible during the initial screening will be shortlisted for the interview.
Important Instructions
Candidates must report at 09:30 AM to obtain and submit the prescribed application form along with all required documents.
Original certificates relating to qualification and experience must be produced during the interview.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Eligibility and qualifications will be considered as on the last date of submission of the application form.
Appointment orders will be issued only after satisfactory verification of character and antecedents.
The University reserves the right to terminate the contract by giving one month’s notice or salary in lieu of notice in case of unsatisfactory performance.
Candidates intending to resign must give one month’s notice or one month’s salary in lieu thereof.
