Advertisement Inviting Applications from Eligible and Interested Candidates to Provide Scholarships to the Meritorious FEMALE Students Belonging to Underprivileged Sections of Society Under the Scheme Super 75.

Mission Youth, J&K through the Office of CEO, Mission Youth, J&K invites online applications from eligible and interested FEMALE candidates from meritorious students belonging to the underprivileged section of society for applying to the scheme Super 75 to avail of the benefits of the scheme

APPLICANTS ARE REQUESTED TO READ THE NOTIFICATION CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION
CANDIDATES ARE ALSO ADVISED TO APPLY FOR THE FAMILY INCOME CERTIFICATE IMMEDIATELY TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE ISSUED SAME WELL IN TIME

The primary objective of the Scheme is to provide scholarships to meritorious candidates from marginalized sections of society for the following programs:

1. All post-graduate courses (regular courses).

2. Research Programs (Ph.D.)(regular courses)

The details regarding the merit calculation can be seen at Point (3) of this notification. General terms and conditions regarding the Selection Process, Eligibility, Educational Qualification, and Domicile, are as follows:

(1) Eligibility:

a. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2023)

The scholarship would be given only to students not more than 30 years as on 01.01.2023

b. Qualification Criteria

Only newly admitted first-year students pursuing regular course master’s Programs or Ph.D. are eligible for the scholarship.

1. For postgraduate scholarships, the candidate must have scored a minimum 50% or equivalent grade at the undergraduate in subjects including Chemical Science, Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science, Applied Science, Social Science Humanities, or any equivalent course.

2. For the Research Program scholarships, the candidate must have scored a minimum 60% or an equivalent grade at the post-graduate level in the relevant subject. Ph.D. Candidates availing NET-JRF/lnspire/WOS-A or any other fellowship for Ph.D. are not eligible under this scheme.

c. Family Income
Candidates are required to submit a copy/detail of the Income certificate issued by the competent authority during the application process. The income criteria are as follows:

1. Only the candidates having total family income from all sources not exceeding Rs 1.00 lakh per annum shall be eligible for scholarship under the scheme. The candidate must possess a digitally signed Family Income Certificate (original scanned copy to be uploaded) issued by the Competent Authority (Tehsildar) in the format prescribed for the purpose. The income certificate must have been issued on or after 01.06.2023.No alternate document shall be accepted in place of Income Certificate and submission of any such document shall lead to rejection of application.

2. The above income criterion is not applicable to candidates belonging to the Person with Disability (PwD) category with a disability greater than 40%.

d. Domicile

Candidate should be a Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir as defined in terms of the Notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India vide S.O 1229 (E) dated 31-03-2020 and S.O 1245(E) dated 03-04-2020 read with the notification issued by the General Administration Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir vide S.O 166
dated 18-05-2020.

Candidate must possess a Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the format prescribed for the purpose, at the time of application submission.

(2) Reserved Category:

10% of slots are reserved for candidates who have lost a father/earning family member due to an insurgency-related event, and 04% slots are reserved for candidates with a disability greater than 40%. An additional 04 slots shall be reserved for special cases, to be nominated by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Jammu and Kashmir. In case of a shortfall in recommendations/reserved category candidates, the reserved slots shall be diverted to the open category

How to Apply :-

To apply under the Super 75 scheme, the candidate must visit the Mission Youth online portal. The candidates shall click on the Apply for Super 75 Scheme banner on the portal. The candidate shall fill up the Super 75 application form, upload a recent photograph, give an undertaking, and submit the application form. Candidates are advised to fill in all the details in the form very carefully to avoid mistakes/ errors
