Applications are invited in the prescribed format, available on the University website www.skuastjammu.ac.in, for engagement on a temporary academic arrangement basis in the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry for the Academic Session 2026–27.

Details of Temporary Positions
1. Contractual Assistant Professor (01 Post)
Subject/Division: Animal Genetics & Breeding
Age Limit:
Not less than 20 years and not more than 55 years as on the date of advertisement
Consolidated Wages:
₹35,000 per month for Master’s degree holders
₹45,000 per month for Ph.D. degree holders
Essential Qualification:
Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with High Second Class (minimum 55% marks) from a recognized university
Desirable Qualification:
Doctoral Degree / NET
2. Contractual Assistant Professor (01 Post)
Subject/Division: Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology
Age Limit:
Not less than 20 years and not more than 55 years as on the date of advertisement
Consolidated Wages:
₹35,000 per month for Master’s degree holders
₹45,000 per month for Ph.D. degree holders
Essential Qualification:
Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with High Second Class (minimum 55% marks) from a recognized university
Desirable Qualification:
Doctoral Degree / NET
3. Contractual Assistant Professor (02 Posts)
Subject/Division: Veterinary Medicine
(For Veterinary Clinical Complex)
Age Limit:
Not less than 20 years and not more than 55 years as on the date of advertisement
Consolidated Wages:
₹35,000 per month for Master’s degree holders
₹45,000 per month for Ph.D. degree holders
Essential Qualification:
Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with High Second Class (minimum 55% marks) from a recognized university

Doctoral Degree / NET

Terms and Conditions :
The engagement shall be purely on a contractual basis.
The appointee shall have no legal right to claim regularization or absorption against any permanent position in the University.
The appointment is valid for the Academic Session 2026–27 only. Extension for one additional year may be considered subject to satisfactory performance and availability.
In case of relinquishing the engagement, one month’s notice is mandatory.
Eligible candidates shall be informed through email only.
No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
No application shall be entertained after the last date.

The application form must be duly filled and accompanied by attested copies of all relevant certificates.
