Walk-in-Interview for Engagement under DST funded Project

Walk-in-interview for project positions under DST funded project entitled “Documentation, Revival and Upscaling of Indigenous Knowledge Systems for Scientific
Development in Pir Panjal and Shivalik ranges of JK UT” is scheduled on 8th October, 2026(Thursday) in the Directorate of Research, SKUAST-Jammu, Main Campus Chatha at 11:00 AM.

The candidates possessing relevant qualification and experience as mentioned below in the table may appear in the interview. Candidates are required to bring self-attested copies of all relevant documents along with the original documents for verification. Applications are invited for the engagement of eligible candidates for the positions of Project Associate-I and Scientific Administrative Assistant/Field Worker. The positions are project-based and will be available for a period of six months, up to March 2027.

1. Project Associate-I

Essential Qualification :

Candidates applying for the position of Project Associate-I must possess either:

A Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences, or

A Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences.

Candidates should ensure that their degree meets the prescribed educational requirements for the position.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

Preference may be given to candidates possessing any of the following additional qualifications or skills:

M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics

MBA (ABM)

M.Sc. in Agricultural Extension Education

Knowledge of field research

Experience or knowledge of documentation

Knowledge of data analysis

Good report-writing skills

Knowledge of computer applications

Proficiency in speaking the local language

These desirable skills may be useful for carrying out field-based research, maintaining project records, analyzing collected data and preparing reports.

Emoluments

The selected candidate for the position of Project Associate-I will receive:

₹30,000 + HRA (20%) per month

The applicable House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided as per the prescribed project rules.

Duration of Engagement

The engagement will be for 06 months, extending up to March 2027, subject to the terms and conditions of the project.

2. Scientific Administrative Assistant/Field Worker

Essential Qualification

Candidates applying for the position of Scientific Administrative Assistant/Field Worker must have:

A Graduate Degree in any discipline.

Graduates from any recognized discipline can apply, subject to fulfillment of other conditions mentioned in the detailed recruitment notification.

Desirable Qualification

Candidates having the following additional skill may be preferred:

Working knowledge of computers

Basic computer skills can be useful for handling administrative activities, maintaining records, preparing documents and supporting project-related field work.

Emoluments

The selected candidate for the position of Scientific Administrative Assistant/Field Worker will receive:

₹24,000 + 20% HRA per month

The House Rent Allowance will be applicable as per the rules and conditions of the project.

Duration of Engagement

The position will be offered for a period of 06 months, with the engagement continuing up to March 2027, subject to the applicable project terms and conditions.
